PICTORION das werk is Germany's leading network in the sector of digital image processing, providing services and consulting in virtually all fields of digital post production. The customers of PICTORION das werk are well-known international advertising agencies, as well as film and TV production companies from all over the world, who benefit from the knowledge and effort of das werk's 150 highly qualified employees. PICTORION das werk has branches in all of Germany's major cities and business locations: Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, Cologne, Frankfurt, Duesseldorf and Dortmund. In order to encourage innovation, specialization and creativity, each branch keeps a certain degree of independence.
Although they specialize in offering services for digital image processing, such as telecine, editing, online compositing and 3D animation, PICTORION das werk also provides high-level consulting to their customers, supporting them during the planning and realization of digital production projects. PICTORION das werk have successfully established CG fluids for film and commercials in Germany, doing intensive research and development work and providing the latest knowledge to their customers in road shows. Lately, they have done several projects improving fluid simulations for food, created a pipeline for fluid character animation, and were the creators of the impressive “BMW Hydrogen” commercial using RealFlow. The people at PICTORION das werk were also the main VFX specialists for award- winning movies like The Pianist, The Children of Huang- Shi, Adam Resurrected and Wim Wenders' Palermo Shooting.
Within about a decade, das werk and its successor PICTORION das werk have proven to be Germany’s leader in digital imaging and post production services. Christian Laskawi and Florian Koebisch lead PICTORION das werk's core RealFlow team in Duesseldorf.
